Deerdapple is a gray and black tabby she-cat.
Deerdapple is a warrior of ThunderClan who has served under Seedstar and Oakstar's leadership in the forest territories. Born to Bloomheart as Deerkit, she was apprenticed as Deerpaw and earned her warrior name of Deerdapple, forming a close relationship with fellow warrior Hollypelt, becoming a long time member of The Codebreakers.
APPEARANCE
Deerdapple is a leggy gray tabby she-cat with dark, almost black spots along her sides. She has a very round face with small, beady eyes, wide ears, and tufty fur on her head. She is very tall and gangly, with a long neck and limbs, and a very short tail.
Nettlepaw notes that, to a cat with an active imagination, the tufts of fur on her head look like antlers.
PERSONALITY
Like her father, Deerdapple is a hardworking, determined warrior. However, she lacks his predication for tradition, and is much more open minded. She takes her duties seriously, but is not above a bit of joking around, and has a bit of a rebellious streak due to joining the Codebreakers.
Following Bloomheart's death, Deerdapple went through a period where she grieved heavily, becoming catatonic, hollow, and unenthusiastic.

Year 76
Deerpaw is an apprentice of ThunderClan. Alongside Thrushpaw, she brings back a piece of prey from a hunting patrol, offering it to Frecklekit and Maplekit.
Year 77
After earning her warrior name, Deerdapple is given Frecklepaw as an apprentice. She seeks to instill the young she-cat with the same hardworking mindset she got from her father, Bloomheart.
Deerdapple becomes very close with Hollypelt, and the two begin attending meetings for The Codebreakers together. She frequently pesters her elderly father, telling him to retire.

Year 80
While playing with Perchkit outide of camp, Petalkit mentions that Deerdapple and Frecklewish are some of ThunderClan's most esteemed hunters.
Year 81
During Thunderclan's raid on RiverClan camp, Deerdapple is spotted alongside Sweetbriar attempting to enter the elders' den, where her father is making his attack on Blackbee. After ThunderClan's retreat, Deerdapple remains behind. She stares catatonically at her father's body, unable to accept that he died breaking the Warrior Code. She skips subsequent gatherings and Codebreaker meetings, and when she finally shows up once again, she is catatonic and listless.
During one of their final assessments, Shypaw and Applepaw mention seeing Deerdapple at Sunningrocks with Hollypelt and Nettlebreeze. She opposes Petalshade's idea of raiding ThunderClan's camp to drive out Oakstar, worrying about the risk of harm to kits and elders.
RELATIONSHIPS
HOLLYPELT
Hollypelt is Deerdapple's closest friend and queer-platonic partner (a type of relationship the cats do not have a word for). The two have been close for many seasons, attending Codebreaker meetings together.
